The home of RUE
At the age of 4 , ruetheartist moved from Donegal, Ireland to the city of Plymouth. A small town with very little to offer , rue endured her adolescence in the town. Growing up in neglected areas, enrolled in a poorly controlled school environment, rue had to curate her own path.
Plymouth is known as Britain’s ocean city - glamorized according to rue.
In an interview we had with her she told us that “there are things to do in Plymouth such as going to the hoe or shopping at drake circus but once you’ve done it a handful of times , your free time becomes a chore …. One hit wonders”

Rue took us on a tour of her home town , showing off the neglected streets , however , unexpectedly she did so to teach us an important lesson .
“That no matter who you are or where you begin , you truly can become anything you dream to be. Where you live and where you grow up doesn’t limit you . It’s not the place , it’s the people that make it home” . this resonates with her new album , we hear many stories of her friends and their adventures growing up , as well as features in soon to come music videos. the support system had by rue covers up the dull offerings of living in Plymouth.
Rue has mentioned many times that growing up in Plymouth was a big inspiration to her album. With the fact that she felt limited due to the town but the people she surrounded her self with makes her never want to leave. Her new album “HYPERLINKED DREAMZ” heavily focuses on her friends and support system growing up and that’s the message she is aiming to deliver.
